i've been asked to write a review of alice in wonderland, the new movie. for those of you who are iffy about it and can't decide whether or not to spend the money to see it, DO IT! ok, that's my opinion, but i've always enjoyed the tim burton/johnny depp combo, no matter what the story. i admit, i have not ever read the book. my whole understanding of the story comes from growing up on the disney animated version. so i can't tell you how it compares to the original story. except that this version is basically a sequel where alice is 19 and follows the white rabbit to wonderland for the second time, although she doesn't remember anything from the first time. and it does include the jaberwockie. (however you spell that) hopefully that brief synopsis doesn't spoil it for anyone...
but i can tell you that the 3d and graphics are amazing, the costumes are awesome, the story is entertaining, all the actors are very good, and i am still in love with johnny depp, despite his crazy eyes. he is the mad hatter after all. and most importantly, i thoroughly enjoyed it. and will probably spend the money to see it a second time. and maybe more. :)
