i haven't posted in a awhile. i really have no excuse, other than i've been busy and the internet at my house doesn't always work, but really no excuses... things are going pretty well. i must admit that i've been a little homesick lately. nearly everyweekend i find some reason that makes me want to go home, but i can't. i haven't seen the the new mexico sky or breathed the new mexico air or been anywhere that i can be completely alone and by myself for long time. since april, to be exact. i still like california, but i guess the honeymoon is over as they say.
the job is going well. i'm finding i'm getting busier and busier as the days go by. this week i'll be in training all week, to become an ISO internal auditor. i'm not exactly sure what that entails but i'll let ya know... i'm also doing the area analysis for the south american countries, which means i may or may not be going there in october. i have a feeling that i probably won't, but i can always hope. :)
as for other things in my life, i'm still playing the piano in church and teaching relief society. i have been a bit of slacker when it comes to activities, but this week should take care of that. we've had a year long service project to make 500 quilts to donate to the humanitarian effort of the church to help warm the children of the world. they're thinking that the actual final number will be closer to 800. how's that for a response? that culminates this saturday at the women's meeting. i've made two quilts all by myself, with some help from others to do the tying. it's been an experience, but i don't think i'll become a professional quilter... anyway, i'm helping to set up for the dinner and the meeting on saturday.
the social scene has actually been a little disappointing lately. i'm wondering where all the single guys over 21 are??? but i'm still having fun, and i'm going to try to go to a few more concerts and learn to salsa and maybe one day go surfing. and for my car, they are still going to try to fix it, although it may have been better if they had decided to total it. i have been test driving a few, just in case. if you are actually reading this, please answer the poll to the left and let me know what you think i should drive.
so, there's the update on my life. i apologize to everyone for being a horrible caller, but really, the phone is just not my thing. i may get more into it eventually, but for now, the computer equals communication. :) but you can always call me and i promise to answer. unless i'm at work and in a meeting or at the beach where there's no signal...
