follow up

ok, i had gotten a few questions so i figured i'd follow up on the last post...

1) i knew it was katherine heigl by her face, and her wedding ring. she's originally from utah, so it's not too much of a stretch for her and her mom to be on a flight from salt lake.

2) i was not a contestant on don't forget the lyrics. i just got to be in the audience when they were filming. i even got to go up on stage and dance at the end! i'm not sure when it will air, but keep your eyes out for the first ever twins episode, and you may just see me in the shadows. :)

3) mexico was a blast, if you ignore the working part, and the driving part. i went down with 4 other people from work. we made it to san quintin in around 7 hours, which i think was a record. it took 9 and 1/2 hours on the way back, thanks to the border crossing and traffic in l.a. but it was pretty fun, i got to eat authentic mexican food, chips and salsa with every meal (including breakfast), had a yummy virgin pina colada, went to the beach, killed a few bugs, and drank a lot of bottled water. :) here are a few pics from the beach, since that is the only time i remembered my camera. the first is actually a map of baja, in case you don't know where san quintin is. (the print is really small, so it's the second city on the map from the north)

the sand was quite a bit softer, darker and easier to walk on than the beaches here in california. it liked it. :) and there were sand dollars and seashells to be found everywhere.

there are some dormant volcanoes you can see in the background. we were going to try and hike one in the afternoon, but it turns out that it takes way too long to get there on the dirt roads.

this is the desert inn. it supposedly is really nice to stay in. it should be anyway, as the rooms are 90 dollars a night. (the hotels in town are all around 30. i know, it's gonna break the budget)

i tried to get a picture of the beach/ocean looking away from all the people, but the sun was too low and made a big glare every time. oh well, you get to see this lovely family gathering. it was weird to see cars on the beach...

just a quick update since it's been a little while...

1. katherine heigl was on my flight from salt lake to long beach. how often do you get to see your celebrity look alike twin in real person?

2. i get to be on tv tomorrow. fun, fun, fun!

3. i will be in mexico next week.

and i think that's about it. i'll let you know if anything else exciting happens...

the office

Take this test!

Sweet as a well-stocked vending machine in the company break room, you're exactly the person people go to when they need a little pick-me-up from office politics and snooze-inducing meetings. Sure you can be a little shy, but that's exactly what makes you approachable in a sea of general nutcases. You show your true colors around the ones you really like.

Work may be a bit frustrating when you lie so low, but even a quiet type like you has the power to make it big. And you know, you don't have to play dirty to win — but it could be a little fun...
