mission flashback

well, i was looking through some old notebooks of mine and re-found one from my mission. it's a little notebook that i kept in my bag and wrote random things in when train rides were slow with no people to talk to. i called it le petit livre de n'importe quoi. most of it was my last couple transfers, as that is when i had the longest "trajet" or commute. i found an attempt at writing words for a song. reading them brought back so many emotions and feelings that i haven't felt in a long time. now, i don't profess to be a poet or a lyricist of any sort. and i think it could use a few more lines at the end. but i figured i'd post the words, and maybe i'll eventually put them to music.

My Miracle

So much is expected, so much is required. Am I up to this?
I'm not sure of the reason why I'm here. It wasn't on my list.

But I know you love me, so I answered the call.
And now I'll give my heart to do your will through it all.

I hope I won't fail, because the price is high.
Not as high as you paid, but for that, I've got to try.

It's hard to keep going, it's hard to remember why.
I've got so many weaknesses, can I make it by?

There are growing pains, and the stretching hurts.
But I know it's making me better, not worse.

Your love helps to ease the pain of falling pride.
And the assurance that someday I'll be by your side.

It's great to see the change that your love can bring.
In my life, in others' lives, miracles are happening.

Hi Miss Kera... (you'll see I added you to my list. I think it had been erased when I changed my template and I failed to get it back on there) I really like your lyrics. I can imagine being there in your shoes. We've had similar experiences when it comes to that! You come up with a chorus and I think it would make a super song!! You are so cute and talented. Love, Katie
